Raveendran believes that the blessings of the deity at the Parabrahma temple near Oachira brought him all his wealth and good fortune. Most of his business establishments carry the name ‘Parabrahma.’
Except when he built his new home, his son Dr. Nitesh christened the house, ‘The Lara’ – which is a combination of the names of Raveendran and his wife Lathika. The 5700 sq. ft. house located beside the Oachira National Highway is indeed a sight to behold.
The exteriors predominantly follow the Kerala architectural style. Around 80 cents of the plot was levelled to add a lawn area in the front. This was one of the expensive exterior element. To impart a nostalgic touch, the gate and the well are made of red stone. The highlight here is undoubtedly the Padipura.
In the interiors, the formal living is at the left side of the foyer. The lighting in the foyer area is done with the help of concealed lighting. The formal living room has wooden flooring and a glass pebble court right at the centre of the room. The dining area has been set at one end of the Nadumuttom. The special lighting given for the wash area and for the small kitchen opening (Kilivathil) imparts a magical effect.
All the bedrooms have different colour themes. Most of the elements in the kitchen are of stainless steel. The in-built oven and fridge can vouch for the star status here. One of the most beautiful areas in the house is definitely the common bathroom.
