A spacious 1500 sq. ft. home complete with 3 bedrooms and all other facilities. The highlight of the house is the pristine white walls and the grey roof tiles. The roof tiles have been laid on a steel truss done over a flat concrete roof.
For a more attractive elevation, the walls at the front of the house has been given a dome shape, and on this concrete of 1.5 feet thickness was done. The roof tiles were laid on top of this. The stair room to the terrace area comes right behind this. The appearance of a stair room at the top would have been an eye sore and hence the elevation was designed like this to cover that up.
The house is set on a 10 cent roadside plot. Natural laterite stone brick, that was easily available nearby have been used for the walls. The rate of construction per sq. ft. was about Rs 1500. The house was completed in April 2015.
As a separate living room was required, the front portion of the house was designated for this area. It was for the dining space that the staircase was given.
